Aftonbladet's so called crisis at SVT is less serious than it was presented, informed the Swedish broadcaster to esctoday.com. SVT has a lot of secret plans in store for Melodifestivalen 2005 and already revealed that last years Eurovision Song Contest winner Ruslana will be helping SVT in order to create a stunning show.
Aftonbladet reported that the plans for the interval acts had been spoiled when all artists started cancelling their engagements since they believed that SVT had a serious lack of preparation and planning.
Thomas Hall, project manager of Melodifestivalen, however reacts on the news with a message to all esctoday.com visitors. “Friends of Melodifestivalen don't have to worry. We are in a phase of preparations. What we are trying to do now is to achieve even higher goals, since we still have time left to do so. That's why it has been misunderstood as if we are late with the main planning. What we already got is in fact in the proportion of five complete finals.”
SVT revealed that Ruslana, last year's winner of the Eurovision Song Contest, will be guest star at the first semifinal of Melodifestivalen on 12th February in Göteborg. She will deliver an explosive opening show and inaugurate Melodifestivalen 2005.
