Rona Nishliu who achieved the best result for Albania at Eurovisoin 2012, since the country’s debut in 2004, has warmly welcomed by her fans, Albania media and the Prime Minister of Albania.
Back in December 2011, Rona Nishliu made a comeback in her music career at Festivali i Këngës 50, which resulted a landslide victory of the 50th anniversary of the Albanian national festival. Only 5 months later, Rona became a huge Eurovision artist, bringing home a valuable 5th placing in Baku.
The Albanian representative at Eurovision 2012, Rona Nishliu arrived yesterday in Tirana. Rona was warmly welcomed by her fans and the Albanian media.
Later in the evening, Rona and her team appeared in the show 7×7, at the national broadcaster, RTSH, where they shared their experience in Baku.
The singer has described as an amazing experience her participation at Eurovision Song Contest. ”It was a tale, a very beautiful tale. I’m glad everything it was realized like we wanted it to do. We were relaxed the whole time in Baku and we enjoyed every moment there”, stated Rona.
Rona Nishliu and the songwriter Florent Boshnjaku have thanked everyone who has supported the song ‘Suus’ from Festivali i Këngës till at the Eurovision’s stage in Baku.
Today Rona and her team were welcomed by the Prime Minister of Albania, Sali Berisha. Mr. Berisha congratulated Rona Nishliu for the great representation of the land of eagles at the prestigious music festival, Eurovision Song Contest 2012.
“Your were the voice of the festival, most brilliant interpretation in the contest. The best result of Albania at Eurovision came as a nice surprise for 100-anniversary of Albania’s independence”, stated the head of the Albania’s government.
Rona got very positive reactions from Albania media who consider her as the queen of the Albanian pop music.
Rona Nishliu finished second in the first semi final of Eurovision 2012 with her entry Suus and 5th in the grand final with 146 points.
