Many Greek fans, who have grown up with Daphne's voice, are almost in a state of shock because of this unexpected development, as she is quite popular among the fans“, a Greek fan earlier described the situation on esctoday.com.

I still have to consider this offer,” explained Pascalidou to esctoday.com. “ Its one person in Greece in particular who wants me very much, but today Im most of all focussing on my host job at Melodifestivalen. Since my work in Gothenburg will be finished after 12th February it is possible to manage with my schedule.

Pascalidou is however very concerned with the latest developments at ERT. “In the past they have usually handled the preparations for the Eurovision Song Contest very well, but this year it has become a total chaos there.

Pascalidou is now a very busy woman, and she rushed around in a hurry at the press conference. Tonight a unique interview she made with football legend Diego Maradona will be broadcast on Swedish television. The fact that Mrs. Pascalidou has a very busy agenda and many offers pending nowadays will probably be the most important factor in taking a decision on this new possibility offered by ERT.
