The Bulgarian broadcaster BNT revealed the names and song titles of the 24 national selection participants. This Saturday the semifinal takes place. A jury will select the best 12 songs for the final, which will take place on 12th February in Sofia.

Prime Minister Simeon Saxe-Coburg Gotha of Bulgaria invited the national broadcaster BNT last May to join the Eurovision Song Contest. Thereupon Bulgarian National Television informed the European Broadcasting Union that they are interested in participating, which finally resulted in a ticket for Kiev.

93 songs have been submitted for the first ever national Eurovision Song Contest selections in Bulgaria. The 24 below are the lucky performers, who made it to the semifinal with their songs:

The order of appearance for the preliminary round will be determined by a lottery in the presence of journalists and representatives of the Bulgarian musical industry.
