It was the turn of the second group of six finalists to take to the stage, and just like last week's show the format was the same – five went through and one was knocked out.

Topping the poll as the public's favourite was wilcard act, Lorraine Maher from County Offaly, in Sunday night's You're a Star show on RTE One television.

As usual, the public voted in their thousands – by text and phone – and the successful other acts, along with Lorraine Maher, were: Henry Girls, Sinead Mulvey, Aine O' Doherty and Peter Fagan. Fran King from Dublin received the least number of votes and was eliminated from the competition as a result.
