The first semifinal in Lithuania has taken place. Aistė Pilvelytė, The Road Band and the Bugs Band have made it for the final in Lithuania. The songs were chosen by televoting. The semifinal can now be seen on the Lithuanian broadcaster (LRT) website.

The first semifinal in Lithuania took place at 21:00 local time in Lithuania (20.00 CET). By SMS and televoting Lithuanian people could decide which three songs and participants they wanted to proceed to the Lithuanian national final that will take place 26th February.

The three first participants making it to the final in Lithuania are:

Aistė Pilvelytė – I'll let you fly (544 votes)
The Road Band – One man band (274 votes)
Bugs Band – Be with me (198 votes)

The remaining participants from tonight�s semifinal still have a chance for the final. A jury will add one more song from all the songs that have not been chosen already by televote when the semifinals are done. Those songs that didn�t make it to the final tonight therefore still have a chance to do so. These are:

Dvyniai – Tikiu tavim (139 votes)
Atika – Apie potvynius (128 votes)
KES – Sly hades (71 votes)
Nasa – Meile tau (70 votes)
Soft Rain – Laiko upe (66 votes)

The program started with last year�s Lithuanian winners Linas & Simona, singing their What happened to your love,with which they reached a 30th place at the Eurovision Song Contest in Istanbul, last year. Besides the songs, all the participants were also interviewed throughout the programme.

The second semifinal in Lithuania will take place next Saturday on the 15th January at 20:00 CET. A recorded version of Lithuania�s first semifinal can be seen on LRT websitehere (commercials in the beginning of the programme).
