Willem 'Mouth' Duyn (67) died

Willem Duyn, better known as Mouth from the duo Mouth & MacNeal, died yesterday at the age of 67 years old. A heart attack on his way to the hostpital became fatal.

Willem Duyn and Sjoukje van 't Spijker (Mouth & MacNeal) ended up third at the 1974 Eurovision Song Contest with the song I see a star, best known in the Netherlands as Ik zie een ster, representing the Netherlands. The Dutch version of the song won the Dutch national final, the duo sang in English at the Eurovision Song Contest.

Duyn started his carreer as a drummer at the Holland Kwartet in 1960. He scored hits with songs as Woenderbaar, Willem, Uncle (as part of the duo Big Mouth & Little Eve, which he formed with his wife Ingrid Kup) and How do you do (the biggest hit of Mouth & MacNeal, it became a top 10 hit in the United States).
