The Serbian and Montenegrin broadcasters RTS and RTCG will, again, do a joint effort to select their best song for the 2005 Eurovision Song Contest.

A national final will take place in either late February or early March in Podgorica. The winning song will be selected by two sets of judges and a telephone and SMS vote. Four judges from Serbia and four from Montenegro will vote, a ninth set of points will be casted by the televoters.

Both RTS and RTCG will contribute songs to the national final, which will contain 24 songs. The Serbian songs will be the top 14 entries from Beovizija, which takes place at the Seva Sava Center on 18th February in Belgrade. Montevizija to be held in late February in Podgorica and will deliver the 10 songs from Montenegro.

This year, Serbia & Montenegro surprised everyone with a second position at the Eurovision Song Contest in Istanbul – a great achievement for a country participating for the first time – thanks to eljko Joksimovic & Ad hoc orchestra and the song Lane moje.
