Lillehammer prepares for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest that takes place on Saturday 20th November. Most of the delegations are expected to arrive on Monday. The real work starts on Tuesday.

Tuesday 16th November

While all delegations will be welcomed in Lillehammer by Synnøve Brenden Klemetrud, Mayor of Lillehammer, the first rehearsals will take place in the Håkons Hall. The opening of the show and the interval act will be rehearsed and hosts Nadia Hasnaoui and Stian Barsnes Simonsen will make their first appearence on the stage of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2004.

Wednesday 17th November

Greece, Malta, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Norway, France, FYR Macedonia, Poland and Cyprus, the first nine countries to perform at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest have their first rehearsal. The rehearsals start at 10.00 CET. Every country gets one hour to rehearse.

The other nine delegations will be offered a day full of surprises. In the morning each delegation will go on Friendship classes in a Norwegian school where they will meet their Norwegian friends. In the afternoon excursions are planned to the Hunderfossen theme park of Trolls and the Olympic bobsleigh track.

Thursday 18th November

The same program as the day before will be followed. This time Belarus, Croatia, Latvia, United Kingdom, Denmark, Spain, Sweden, Belgium and Romania have their first rehearsal.

Friday 19th November

The first dress rehearsal will take place without audience between 16.00 and 18.30 CET. Later at night, as of 20.15 CET, the second dress rehearsal will be attended by press and audience and for the first time the voting procedure will be rehearsed.

Saturday 20th November – Junior Eurovision Day

It's the big day for 18 kids from all over Europe. The Junior Eurovision Song Contest starts at 20.15 CET. Around 22.30 CET we will know who succeeds last year's winner Dino from Croatia. A press conference will be held on stage immediately after the show after which all delegations are invited for the after party at the Radisson SAS hotel in Lillehammer.
