Neither Jessica Andersson, nor Magnus Bäcklund will participate in Melodifestivalen 2005. Together they represented Sweden at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2003. With Give me your love Fame finished 5th in Riga.

Jessica explained her decision in Swedish newspaper Expressen. “I've been asked but I said no. Neither me, nor Magnus will participate in Melodifestivalen. Two consecutive years is enough for now.” Fame won Melodifestivalen 2003 with Give me your love and finished 6th with Vindarna vänder oss in this year's Swedish national final.

Instead of participating for a third consecutive time, Jessica and Magnus will be working on a new single and a new Fame show. Next year they will be touring around in Sweden with brand new songs. So a split of Fame is far from close…
