The Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2004 is fast approaching and more details have been revealed about the stage design, concept and shape of the show on November 20th. This second contest, a winter wonderland, celebrates stars, snow and space!
Junioreurovision.tv invites us to Picture a dark, clear night, with the light reflected in the water, the sky full of sparkling stars, in a winter wonderland, somewhere in a small town… such as Lillehammer!. The set design is said to mirror this magical starlit kingdom with thousands of sparking lights on the stages walls and floor. Projections on the stage will be used to create a unique visual experience for each countries performance across the semi circular wall and floating circles behind. Comparisons can be drawn with some of the elements of the 2003 stage design for the Eurovision Song Contest in Riga, where millions of stars made up the backdrop of the set.
The Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2004 is opened with a girl snowboarding into Lillehammer from space and landing onto the stage where Stan & Nadia stand ready to welcome Europe! A special Snow Parade of 50 dancers, acrobats and entertainers will be one of the prominent features of the show. The whole event promises to be something truly magical and enchanting not only for children across Europe
