Last years Junior Eurovision Song Contest winner Croatia was the last country to select a representative for the second edtion of the event. Croatia selected Nika Turković for Lillehammer with the song Hej mali.

Dino Jelusić, last years Eurovision Song Contest winner, opened the show with Ti si moja prva ljubav. Then it was up to the 12 finalists to perform. These were the 12 finalists of Dječju pjesmu Eurovizije 2004:

� Lana Ivanković – Svakom tko zna

� Nika Turković – Hej mali

While the Croatian dance act Colonia saw for the interval act, the Croatians could make their choice by televoting. The song Hej mali (Hey baby), written and performed by Nika Turković, received the most votes and will represent Croatia in Lillehammer on 20th November. Party Kiss & Double F came second with Nije OK and Iva Valentić finished third with Hajde upali mrak.

Nika Turković is 9 years old and is from Zagreb. She loves listening to classical music, jazz and pop. Her favorite artists are Divas, Giboni, Pavorati, Dino Jelusić and Norah Jones. Nika loves singing, dancing and besides Croatian she speaks English and Slovenian.
