The Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet announced the names of several established Swedish artists who have submitted a song for next years Melodifestivalen. The interest among the established names is huge in Sweden.

According to Aftonbladet, Arja Saijonmaa, Tommy Nilsson, Pernilla Wahlgren, Lotta Engberg, Kikki Danielsson, Shirley Clamp and Anne-Lie Rydé, all old hands at Melodifestivalen, have submitted a song to SVT. Next to them, several other big names in Sweden have entered a song for the first time. Amongst them are Papa Dee, Mikael Rickfors, Mats Ronander, Hasse Andersson, Niclas Wahlgren, Linus Wahlgren, Nordman, Grymlings and Richard Engfors.

Also Jessica Folker, who scored several world hits with songs like How will I know who you are, I do and Miracles submitted a song. History however learned us that not all artists singing the submitted songs also perform the songs themselves when being selected for Melodifestivalen.

As Esctoday reported earlier, more than 3000 songs were submitted to SVT and only 28 can take part in Melodifestivalen, so it is unsure which of the artists mentioned above will actually take part. But the interest among the established names is huge in Sweden.
