Malta will be represented by the Young Talent Team at this year's Junior Eurovision Song Contest. They will sing The Power of a song.
Josef, Rodney, Julian, Charlote, Justine, Elaine, Sarah and Marilena: together the Young Talent Team. At the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, eight people are allowed on stage, instead of six at the Eurovision Song Contest.
The Maltese entry can be described as 'uptempo and energetic'.
Runner up was Dario Bezzina, with just one point behind the winners. Dario Bezzina's uptempo song Evviva l-Muzika had a few phrases in Maltese, all the others chose for the English language. English and Maltese are both official languages on Malta.
Young Talent Team secured their victory with the televoting, which was 40 percent of the total result. 60 percent of the votes were given by local and expert juries.
