Tzvika Pick, a Eurovision veteran from Israel, declared he has plans for the upcoming contest in Kiev. Tzvika Pick composed the 1998 winning song Diva for Dana International.

Israeli Tzvika Pick tried to reach the Eurovision Song Contest several times during the 1970's-1990's. He finally reached his target in 1998 when he composed Diva for Dana International, which even won the Eurovision Song Contest, organized in Birmingham.

In 2002 Pick returned to the Eurovision Song Contest as composer of Sarit Hadad's Light a Candle and a year later he composed Hasta la Vista, for which his ex-wife Mirit Shem-Or wrote the lyrics. The song performed by Olexandr was the debut of Ukraine at the Eurovision Song Contest.

Tzivka Pick now announced his plans for the 2005 Eurovision Song Contest in Kiev. To nrg.co.il he said that “if Sharona and Daniela will indeed be chosen as Israel's entrants for the 2005 Eurovision Song Contest, they will perform and jump around the stage singing the song me and their mother will compose. I will accompany them on stage, behind the piano.”.

Sharona and Daniela, the mutual daughters of Pick and Shem-Or, have already established themselves as a very popular duo in Israel's pop scene.

Israeli broadcaster IBA is expected to start its preselection procedure soon. A public preselection however doesn't seem an option.
