More songs will be in English on May 12. Sweden was the first who translated the song in English. “Lyssna till ditt hjärta” will be performed as “Listen to your heartbeat”. Denmark is busy to translate “Der står en billede af dig på mit bord” in English, which is a litlle difficult.

Iceland, who ruled that the winning song should be performed in Icelandic, dropped down this rule. After a voting within the team of RÚV (Icelandic broadcaster), the conclusion was that the Icelandic entry would have more chance in Copenhagen when performed in English. The descicion was to be made by Einar Bárðarson, the writer of “Birta”. He admitted he already wrote an English version of “Birta”, which will be called “Angel”.

Also Norway will translate the winning song in English. More to come…
