Shake it shakes it up for Greece

The new version of the Greek entry, Shake it, has been released on the web. More pop, more beat, more ethnicity and… maybe even more chance of a first Eurovision Song Contest in Athens?

The song, which is predicted to storm through the semifinal on 12th May, has been given a commercial face-lift, and will appeal to all corners of Europe. The pop beat, the Middle-Eastern ethnic undertones and easy-to-remember lyrics look set to give Greece a healthy chance of conquering Istanbul on 15th May.

The Greece bandwagon has already touched down in Finland, gaining support with performances on national television. Greece’s best finish until now was a 3rd place in 2001, but some in Greece think that Sakis is ready to shake Antique’s Die for you from the top of the Greek success list. Maybe it will work with a t-shirt that fits?
