The Turkish broadcaster launched the English version of its Eurovision Song Contest 2004 website. Weeks ago, the Turkish version of the website appeared online already.

Eurovision.tv online soon
The TRT website is the official website of the Eurovision Song Contest from TRT, while eurovision.tv is the official website for the event of the European Broadcasting Union. The question is if it's efficient to launch two Eurovision Song Contest website, which offer almost equal information. An extended version of eurovision.tv will be launched soon.

Cyprus or South-Cyprus?
In Turkey, it's South-Cyprus that participates to the Eurovision Song Contest. On both the English and the Turkish version of the website, TRT speaks about South-Cyprus instead of Cyprus, which is a result of the political situation at Cyprus. Though, on the Big Night most likely the EBU guidelines will be followed, which means that it's Cyprus that appears on the score board…

Update on the South-Cyprus issue
Meanwhile, TRT changed South-Cyprus into Cyprus, after several complaints from visitors. According to the European Broadcasting Union it's “Cyprus that will appear on the graphics”.
