The Turkish broadcaster launched a website dedicated to the 2004 Eurovision Song Contest in Istanbul. Currently, the website is only available in Turkish, but an English version is soon to follow.

There is an overview of the procedure change for 2004, a history section as well a fact file. Detailed information is provided about the Abdi Ipecki stadium, the venue of the event, as well as a listing of various technicians and other team members who will make the contest possible.

Athena, the Turkish entry is particularly focused on, with a vast amount of information about the group. The website will soon offer video clips and audios of all the entries of the contest.

The launch of this website raises the question why TRT choose to create its own website, besides the official EBU website eurovision.tv. Since this year, it's not the host broadcaster that's responsible for the official Eurovision Song Contest, instead of that the EBU outsourced the development of the website to an external company, working under supervision of the EBU.
