Boyband Tie-Break has been elected to represent Austria at the 2004 Eurovision Song Contest. With their song Du bist, they gained 32% of the televotes.

Stefan di Bernardo, Thomas Elzenbaumer and Tommy Pegram, simply Tie-Break, have won song.null.vier and will represent Austria at the Eurovision Song Contest. With Du bist, written by Peter Zimmermann, they gained 32% of the televotes.

Stefan di Bernardo and Thomas Elzenbaumer both participated in the talent show Starmania. Veterans Waterloo & Robinson ended up second with You can change the world.

Thanks to Alf Poier's 6th place last year, the best Austrian result in 14 years, Tie-Break is directly qualified to participate in the final of the Eurovision Song Contest on May 15th in Istanbul.
