Bas & Joel got the wildcard ticket after the second semifinal of the Dutch Nationaal Songfestival 2004. With Celeste they will return in the wildcard heat, which takes place at 19th February.

After each semifinal heat, the audience can select one of the four songs that couldn't make it to the final. This means that all semifinals bring up four songs for the wildcard heat. The jury will select two more songs for the wildcard heat.

Bas & Joel, two finalists of the first Dutch Idols season, were backed by three members of the Belgian group Voice Male.
