Nicole & Hugo, who already appeared on the Eurovision Song Contest stage before, participated in the first heat of Eurosong 2004, the Belgian selection for the upcoming selection. Niels Verduyckt from Belgium was impressed!

Although Nicole & Hugo (photo: VRT) ended up second with Love is all around and thus probably won't get one of the wildcards for the final, Verduyckt wants them back on stage! “The winner of the first heat is Xandee, with a nice song for a sixteen year-old Breezer slut on liquid XTC, but it won't bring you higher than that”, he wrote on the special web page he launched. With a petition he wants to convince broadcaster VRT that Nicole & Hugo deserve a wildcard for the final. Personally, he even wants them to go to Istanbul!

Theoretically, Nicole & Hugo still have a chance to get one of the wildcard, but only if the runner up of next week gets less than 33 points, which would be unique.
