Croatian ethnopop group LELEK, who represented their country at the Eurovision Song Contest 2026, has released a brand new single titled ‘Ruke Moje Majke’ (Hands of My Mother). The song comes accompanied by an official music video, offering fans a more intimate and personal side of the band.

LELEK, known for their distinctive blend of traditional Croatian music with modern sounds, competed for Croatia at Eurovision 2026 in Vienna with their song ‘Andromeda’, ultimately placing 15th in the Grand Final.

Their latest offering, ‘Ruke Moje Majke‘, delves into a deeply emotional narrative. The lyrics for the track were penned by the group’s founder, Tomislav Roso, when he was just 14 years old, making it a unique and personal piece that has waited over two decades to be brought to life.

The song explores the universal theme of a child’s fear and the comforting, secure embrace of a mother’s hands. This intimate story is beautifully translated into the accompanying music video, which was filmed in Bjelovar, Croatia.

In the video, the members of LELEK showcase their cultural heritage by appearing in traditional Bjelovar-Bilogora folk costumes. Adding another layer of personal connection, the music video features actual family members of the group, including the daughter of Inka Večerina-Perušić and the mother of Korina Rogić, further enhancing the song’s heartfelt message of maternal love and familial bonds.

The creative team behind ‘Andromeda’, Tomislav Roso and Filip Lacković, reunited for ‘Ruke Moje Majke‘, with Marin Novaković joining them on the musical arrangement. This new single highlights LELEK’s versatility, moving from the historical and identity-rich themes of their Eurovision entry to a more personal and emotionally resonant narrative.
