The rules and regulations for the Swiss internal selection process can be found here.
The selection process for Switzerland will remain an internal procedure, combining assessments from national and international expert juries, as well as a dedicated fan jury. This multi-layered approach aims to identify a contemporary and internationally competitive song that authentically represents Switzerland.
Artists interested in representing Switzerland must meet specific criteria and either being a Swiss citizen or having lived in Switzerland for at least one year. Submitted songs must be new and unreleased before September 1st, 2026, with a maximum length of three minutes.
Yves Schifferle, head of the Swiss delegation, emphasised the goal of finding artists who can convince an international audience with their unique artistic style. Lasse Nymann has been appointed as the new Musical Director, bringing extensive experience to further strengthen Switzerland’s Eurovision strategy.
The Eurovision Song Contest 2027 is scheduled to take place in Burgas, Bulgaria, following Dara’s victory in Vienna in 2026. The semi-finals are set for May 11th and 13th, with the Grand Final on May 15th, 2027.
