Great news for Eurovision fans! The Luxembourgish government has officially confirmed the country’s participation in the next three editions of the Eurovision Song Contest, securing its presence until 2029. This long-term commitment signals a strong dedication to the competition following its successful return.

RTL Luxembourg has announced that the Grand Duchy will be a part of the Eurovision Song Contest for the upcoming three editions, with funding approved by the government to support this commitment until 2029. This decision provides stability and visibility for the country’s continued involvement in one of Europe’s biggest entertainment events.

The broadcaster also revealed the date for the next edition of the Luxembourg Song Contest, the national final used to select the country’s Eurovision representative. Aspiring artists and eager fans should mark their calendars for 30 January 2027, when the show is set to take place at the Rockhal in Esch-Belval.

RTL Luxembourg welcomed the government’s decision, highlighting that it allows them to continue developing the Eurovision project and strengthen Luxembourg’s presence on the European music scene. Further details regarding the organisation of the contest and the call for applications are expected to be announced in July.

Hence the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg has its Eurovision participation secured for the 2027, 2028 and 2029 editions.
