Austria’s representative, Cosmo, finished in second-to-last place at the recent Eurovision Song Contest with his entry ‘Tanzschein’. Despite the challenging result, Cosmo has expressed that he is ‘not disappointed at all’ by the outcome. He views his participation in the prestigious competition as a dream come true.

Following the Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest, Austrian broadcaster ORF reported on Cosmo’s reaction to his placement. The artist, who performed the song ‘Tanzschein’, secured the penultimate spot in the competition.

However, in his first comments since the final, Cosmo conveyed a remarkably positive sentiment. He emphasised that far from being disappointed, he was incredibly proud and grateful for the experience.

A Dream Fulfilled

Cosmo highlighted that merely taking to the Eurovision stage was a lifelong ambition realised. He stated that the opportunity to represent Austria and share his music with such a vast international audience was a victory in itself, regardless of the final scoreboard position. His joyful perspective underscores the spirit of participation and cultural exchange that lies at the heart of the Eurovision Song Contest.

Cosmo says:

My dream has come true. They were the best days of my life. The hall was rocking. We were so, so happy. We gave it our all and everyone danced along. That was our goal and we achieved it and I am very, very happy.I’m not disappointed at all. We got six points. Those are six very valuable points. Thank you so much. The love of the fans, the energy, and that’s exactly what I want to represent on tour.
