The Greek Eurovision delegation, led by artist Akylas, has officially returned to Athens. The team arrived back in the Greek capital today, following their participation in the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 in Vienna.

The Hellenic Broadcasting Corporation (ERT) has confirmed the return of the Greek delegation to Athens after their journey to the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 held in Vienna, Austria. Akylas, who represented Greece with his song ‘Ferto’, was among those who touched down at Eleftherios Venizelos Airport.
Alongside Akylas, the esteemed stage director Fokas Evangelinos, who masterminded Greece’s impactful performance, was also part of the returning group. The four talented performers who joined Akylas on stage – Parthena Chorozidou, Michalis Michailidis, Christos Nikolaou, and Konstantinos Makrypidis – completed the artistic team.
Akylas was received by a great number of fans and Greek media upon arrival. He told the Greek media:
It was incredible, it was an unprecedented experience for me, thank you all for making my dream come true.I gave 100% of myself. I did the best I could. I am very happy with what we did. Our team worked very hard, you don’t understand. We really gave our soul and blood. We worked very long hours. I am very happy and grateful that I had the honor of working with these wonderful people, with Fokas Evangelinos, ERT, the guys on stage, with my team .
Also returning were ERT’s dedicated commentators, Maria Kozakou and Giorgos Kapoutzidis, who provided live commentary for Greek viewers throughout the contest. Greece achieved a commendable 10th place finish in the Grand Final of Eurovision 2026.
Akylas and his whole team, Fokas Evagelinos, and the Greek delegation and ERT worked from strength to strength in order to showcase an extraordinary performance in Vienna.
