Akylas, Greece’s representative for the Eurovision Song Contest 2026, has officially unveiled a brand new version of his entry, ‘Ferto’. Titled ‘Super Ferto’, this new rendition aims to bring an enhanced sound and elevated energy to the highly anticipated track ahead of his performance in Vienna.
Akylas ready for Vienna with ‘Super Ferto’
Akylas won the Greek national final, ‘Sing for Greece 2026’, on 15 February 2026, securing his spot to represent Greece at Eurovision 2026 with his song ‘Ferto’. The song, co-written by Akylas Mytilinaios, Orpheus Nonis, Teo Pouzbouris, and Tom Papatanice, is a high-energy track that blends techno and hyper-techno influences with a modern Greek sound. It carries a deeper message beneath its pulsating production, touching on themes of excess and the constant desire for more in today’s society.
The release of ‘Super Ferto’ indicates a significant upgrade to the already dynamic entry. Fans can expect a revamped production, potentially new vocal arrangements, and an overall more impactful sound designed to captivate the Eurovision audience. This strategic move aims to polish the entry further and maximise its appeal on the grand stage in Vienna.
Greece will compete in the first semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2026, scheduled for 12 May 2026. Akylas’s original song ‘Ferto’ has already garnered significant attention since its release and has reached number eight on the Greek Local Singles Chart. The anticipation for ‘Super Ferto’ is high, with many eager to see how this new version will elevate Greece’s chances in the competition.
