Latvia is gearing up for an exciting Eurovision Song Contest week, as ethnopop group Tautumeitas gets ready to take the stage in the second semi-final on 15 May. Latvian Television (LTV) will mark the occasion with a rich line-up of programming, including themed shows, documentary screenings, live discussions and coverage from Basel, Switzerland.

The highly anticipated return of the Latvian language to the Eurovision stage is set to happen on 15 May at 22:00 CET when Tautumeitas perform Bur man laimi in the second semi-final of the 69th Eurovision Song Contest. This marks the first fully Latvian-language entry since Fomins & KleinsDziesma par laimi took the stage in 2004 in Istanbul.

Latvian Television (LTV) has prepared an exciting lineup of programming. Viewers can expect live broadcasts from Basel, themed quiz shows, documentaries, youth discussions, and special Eurovision-themed episodes across LTV1, REplay.lv, and LTV’s YouTube platform 16+. Highlights include the documentary ABBA: The Road to Success, the live shows of both semi-finals and the grand final, and an in-depth Eurovision analysis led by notable Latvian artists and commentators.

Latvia at Eurovision 2025

The folk music group Tautumeitas won the Latvian national selection to Eurovision Supernova 2025 with the entry Bur man laimi. The six vocalists and instrumentalists will therefore represent the Baltic country at the 2025 Eurovision Song Contest in Basel, Switzerland.

They will perform fourth in the second semi final on Thursday 15 May 2025.
