We have a winner in Lithuania! The 2025 Lithuanian national selection- EUROVIZIJA.LT concluded tonight with its Grand Final in Kaunas.
Katarsis was crowned the winner of EUROVIZIJA.LT 2025 and will have the grand honour of representing Lithuania at the forthcoming Eurovision Song Contest in Basel, Switzerland with ‘Tavo Akys’.
A total of 12 acts competed for the golden ticket to Eurovision 2025 during tonight’s gala. The show was held at the Zalgiris Arenas in Kaunas and was hosted by Rimvydas Černiauskas , Gabriele Martirosian and Nombeko Auguste Khotseng.
The 2025 Lithuanian Eurovision act and entry was determined via a 100% deliberation during the Superfinal where a total of three acts were selected after a combined jury and public voting deliberation.
EUROVIZIJA.LT
A total of 45 acts competed in the Lithuanian 2025 national selection. EUROVIZIJA.LT 2025 consisted of a total of 6 televised shows (5 semi-finals and a Grand Final). A total of 9 acts competed in each of the five semi-finals, the top two acts from each semi-final after a combibed jury/public televoting deliberation proceeded to the Grand Final. LRT awarded a Wild Card to two of the acts which competed in the semi-finals. A total of 12 acts battled for the golden ticket to Basel at the Grand Final.
At the Grand Final the jury and public voted for their favourites acts, the top 3 acts proceeded to the Super Final. At the Super Final round all three acts performed their songs again and the final verdict lied in the hands of the Lithuanian audience.
EUROVIZIJA.LT kicked off on Saturday 11 January and concluded tonight with its Grand Final.
Lithuania in Eurovision
Lithuania debuted at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1994 and is yet to win the event. The country achieved its best result at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2006 when it placed 6th. Lithuania has competed 24 times at our beloved contest.
In 2024 Silvester Belt represented Lithuania at the 2024 Eurovision Song Contest in Malmo with his entry ‘Luktelk’.
