Spain: Benidorm Fest 2025 to premiere on 18 December

RTVE, the Spanish national broadcaster, will be holding a special press conference on Wednesday 18 November in order to officially premiere the Benidorm Fest 2025 competing entries.

RTVE is working round the clock in order to showcase an extraordinary and entertaining national selection. The Spanish national has scheduled a special press conference on Wednesday 18 December at the RTVE Headquarters in Madrid in order to premiere the sixteen Benidorm Fest 2025 entries.

The press conference will be held at 13:00 CET.

All sixteen competing acts will be present at the said press conference along with Ana Maria Bordas (Benidorm Fest co-director/Spanish Head of Delegation/RTVE), Cesar Vallejo (Benidorm Fest co-director/ RTVE ) and Maria Eizaguirre Comendador ( RTVE’s Head of Communication and Participation)

Benidorm Fest 2025

The 2025 Benidorm Fest will consist of three live televised shows (two semi-finals and a Grand Final). A total of 16 acts will compete in the 2025 Spanish national selection, 8 acts will battle in each of the two semi-finals, the top four acts from each semi-final will proceed to the Grand Final. Hence a total of 8 acts will battle for the golden to Eurovision 2025 in the Grand Final. Benidorm Fest 2025 will run from 28 January-01 February.

  • The 2025 Benidorm Fest will be held on 28 January (First Semi-final), 30 January (Second Semi-final) and 01 February (Grand Final).
  • All three shows will be broadcast live on TVE 1.
  • Spain will determine its Eurovision 2024 act and entry  on Saturday 01 February via the Grand Final of Benidorm Fest 2025.

Spain in Eurovision

Spain debuted at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1961 and has won the event twice: 1968 and 1969. The country hosted the competition in 1969 in Madrid.

In 2024 Nebulossa won Benidorm Fest 2024 and went on to represent Spain at the 2024 Eurovision Song Contest in Malmo with their epic entry ‘Zorra’
