NRK, the Norwegian national broadcaster, has appointed Mads Tørklep as the Head of Delegation for Norway at the Eurovision Song Contest.

Mads Torklep will be taking over from Stig Karlsen as the Norwegian Head of Delegation at the Eurovision Song Contest. Stig Karlsen will be stepping down from his role as MGP Producer and the Norwegian Head of Delegation.

Mads Torklep has great experience when it comes to the MGP in Norway. Tørklep already has the role of project manager and producer for Melodi Grand Prix. This means that he is responsible for the event, the TV broadcast and the day-to-day running of Melodi Grand Prix. He was also project manager for Melodi Grand Prix in 2024.

Mads Torklep says:

I love this circus. Eurovision is the world’s biggest music competition and Melodi Grand Prix is Norway’s most talked about and eternally discussed TV broadcast. This is both demanding and incredibly rewarding to work with. It is a great privilege to be able to work with programs that involve so much, both here at home and out in the world.
