MPTV, the Armenian national broadcaster, has confirmed that Armenia will participate at the forthcoming 2025 Eurovision Song Contest in Switzerland.

Thus Armenia joins the list of countries who have so far confirmed their participation at the upcoming Eurovision  2025 edition in Switzerland.

The Armenian national broadcaster has opted for a national selection in order to determine its Eurovision act and entry for Eurovision 2025. Depi Evratesil 2025 will be the format used to select the 2025 Armenian Eurovision entry and act.

ARMTV has published the rules and regulations of the competition and opened the submission window for the competition. The aspiring acts can apply to compete in the national selection as of today until 10 January 2025. Armenian artists and singers wishing to partake in the competition can apply here.

Armenia in Eurovision

Armenia debuted at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2004 and is yet to win the competition. The country’s achieved its best result in the event in 2008 (Sirusho) and 2014 (Aram Mp3) when it placed 4th in the Grand Final.

Armenia has partaken in the contest 13 times and has competed every year since its debut with the exception of 2012 and 2021 when the country decided to withdraw from the competition.

The Armenians have enjoyed much success in Eurovision, garnering a total of 8 top 10 placings in their 16 year Eurovision history.

In 2024  Ladadiva represented Armenia at the Eurovision Song Contest in Malmo with their entry ‘Jako’ achieving an honorable 8th place in the Grand Final.
