The deadline to send in songs for Eurosong 2004 in Flanders has been reached. The Flemish broadcaster VRT now starts selecting the 28 songs that will compete in four semifinals for a ticket to the final on 15th February. The lucky ones will be announced at a press conference on 10th December.
Although the 28 songs still have to be announced, it seems to be clear that the list will contain some popular Flemish artists. Raf Van Brussel, Roxane, Sodapop, Voice Male, Petra, Raffaele and Dynamite all confirmed they sent in a song. Flemish 'Eurovision Song Contest ambassador' Ricky Fleming and last year�s participant at the Dutch Nationaal Songfestival Sasja Brouwers did the same.
It�s also looking forward to Sandy, who reunited with Sergio (Belgium 2002) a couple of months ago, after their solo careers did not get off the ground. If she will be present solo, or together with Sergio as Touch of Joy is unknown yet.
And finally, the biggest question of all: will Natalia participate? The Idols runner-up suddenly became the most mentioned artist for Eurosong after she released I�ve only begun to fight, a song containing all aspects of a typical Eurovision song. Some other Idols participants have already confirmed their submitting a song for Eurosong 2004.
