Member of the European Broadcasting Union's (EBU) reference group of the Eurovision Song Contest, Juhan Paadam, said in an interview to the Estonian newspaper Postimees that the group decided not to change the location of the Eurovision Song Contest 2004.

Even though there have been many doubts about the location after the terrorist attacks taken place lately in Istanbul, the group decided not to make any quick decisions at the present time.

The reference group asked host broadcaster TRT to keep them in touch with the situation in Istanbul. The final decision will be made in the middle of January.
