Hallelujah is the name of a new television film which will be broadcasted next Sunday on Israel's Channel 3 Sunday Dramas series.

The theme of this one hour film is the Eurovision Song Contest, and it tells the story of a soldier on a reserve duty, who is also a Eurovision fan. The film's plot occurs on March 31st,1979, the exact day when Jerusalem is about to host the 24th Eurovision Song Contest, when the main character is trying to get home from his post in the Sinay desert, just in time for the song contest. During this journey through the country he is experiencing strange and funny Eurovision related incidents. You might guess the film's ending, if its good or bad, by the outcome of the 1979 Eurovision Song Contest…
Eurovision fans will spot a character in a supporting role, played by Moti Gil'adi, Israel's 1986 entrant to the Eurovision Song Contest.

Although the film's story is strongly related to Israeli culture and way of life, foreign viewers might also enjoy it, since the Eurovision theme is very dominant in it.
