At the MIPCOM, the annual international film and television programme market in Cannes, France, the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) promoted the Junior Eurovision Song Contest with a dedicated stand.
More than 2,800 people from 90 countries came to Cannes to be informed about the latest programme formats and to buy interesting ones for their own broadcasting company. The EBU payd special attention to the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. At the stand, it was possible to get more information, to buy merchandising and to watch the 16 participants on a wide-screen television.
At its website, the EBU suggest that, together with their members, a dedicated EBU village might be created in the future of MIPCOM.
