Alex Sparrow the 2011 Russian representative and the Russian delegation will be giving a party tonight at the Euroclub at 22.00 CET. Alex has more reason to celebrate as last night he qualified to the Eurovision final scheduled to be held next Saturday on the 14th of May.

Many of the other participating contestants will be attending the party tonightand some of them will also be performing live much to the delight of the Eurovision fans. Patry fever is at its highest this week, with many countries hosting events and parties in order to promote their entry and meet the press and fans.

Alex has travelled to Dusseldorf with a huge entourage, a vast number of Russian press has come too. We should give a special mention to his dog Elvis, who has accompanied him to Germany. Elvis attracted much media attention when he attended the Welcome Reception wearing a bow.

Russia debuted at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1994 and has won the contest once with Dima Bilan in 2008. Will Alex Sparrow give Russia its second Eurovision win again?
