France: Bilal Hassani releases official music video of ‘Roi’

The 2019 French Eurovision hopeful,Bilal Hassani, has released the official music video of his Eurovision entry ‘Roi’.

Bilal Hassani was crowned the winner of the 2019 French national final- Destination Eurovision, last month. He will defend the French colours at the forthcoming Eurovision Song Contest in Tel Aviv with his song Roi.

The official music video of Roi has been produced by R&D for La Sucrerie and directed by Anne Rivoallan. The song has been co written by the 2018 French Eurovision hopefuls Madame Monsieur.

About Bilal Hassani

Bilal was born in 1999 in Paris and is of Moroccan origin. He started singing at the tender age of 5 and shot to fame when he participated in the 2nd season of The Voice Kids in France.

Hassani has a massive fan following in France thanks to his music  and videos on Youtube, he is an accomplished singer and composer who is quite popular among the young French audience.

France is one of the founder members of the Eurovision Song Contest, having debuted in the very first edition of our beloved contest. The country has won the competition five times: 1958, 1960, 1962, 1969 and 1977.

France has competed 61 times in the Eurovision Song Contest, the last time the nation placed in the top 10 was in 2016 when Amir placed 6th in Stockholm.

France will compete in the Grand Final of the 2019 Eurovsion Song Contest in Tel Aviv on Saturday 18 May.
