Romania is getting ready to continue its search for its Eurovision 2019 representative with semi-final 2 of Selecția Națională 2019.

The second semi-final of Selecția Națională 2019 takes place in the city of Arad, Romania. Broadcaster TVR will again present a riveting show, as 12 participants are set to take to the stage, performing for a place in the final of Selecția Națională 2019 on Sunday 17 February and eventually the ticket to Tel Aviv!

Tonight’s participants are:

  1. 2 Gents – Ielele
  2. Georgy (Georgiana Saizescu) – Tears
  3. Olivier Kaye – Right now
  4. Xonia – Discrete
  5. TMW (The Mixy Welders) – Make me your man
  6. Johnny Bădulescu – Give up now
  7. Echoes – High heels on
  8. Aldo Blaga – Your journey
  9. Letiția Moisescu & Sensibil Balkan – D A I N A
  10. Laura Bretan – Dear father
  11. Ester Peony – On a Sunday
  12. Linda Teodosiu – Renegades

Voting

Six participants will qualify from semi-final 2 of Selecția Națională 2019. Five qualifiers will be chosen by the professional jury consisting of Adi Cristescu, Mihai Georgescu, Crina Mardare, Andy Platon and Mugurel Vrabete, while one more additional qualifier will by chosen through public televoting.

Romania at Eurovision 2018

The band The Humans won Selecția Națională 2018 and thus represented Romania at the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest in Lisbon, Portugal. The group performed the heartfelt rock song Goodbye, sung by charismatic lead vocalist Cristina Caramarcu, in semi-final 2. Unfortunately, The Humans just missed out on the Grand Final, placing 11th with 107 points in the semi.
