Supernova, where Latvia chooses it entry for Eurovision 2019 has kicked off, and we now know which four artists will move forward to the final.

The show, which was hosted by Dagmar Legant and Ketija Schoenberg was shown tonight live on LTV1.

The acts that performed tonight were:

• Aivo Oskis – Somebody’s got my lover
  
• Alekss Silvērs – Fireworks
• Edgars Kreilis– Cherry absinthe
• Elza Rozentāle – You Came on tiptoe
  
• Kris & Oz – Midnight streets
  
• Laime Pilnīga – Awe
  
• Līga Rīdere – Būšu tepat
  
• Samanta Tīna – Cutting the wire

The four acts that will go through to the final on 16 February are:

• Edgars Kreilis– Cherry absinthe
• Laime Pilnīga – Awe
• Aivo Oskis – Somebody’s got my lover
• Samanta Tīna – Cutting the wire

The results were decided by a mixture of jury and public vote and the four top acts will join a further four, to be decided at the second semi-final on 2 February, in the final which takes place on 16 February.
