According to several sources, the broadcaster of FYR Macedonia MKRTV confirmed that Tose Proeski is going to represent the country at the Eurovision Song Contest 2004.

The decision came after the 'wizard method' of Turkey's victory: send the best singer and song. The song for FYR Macedonia is to be chosen in a final, where Proeski will sing five songs – all in English – as the National Finals Homepage reported today. Jury votes and televoting will be counting for 50% each.

Proeski is the one of the most famous singers in FYR Macedonia, Serbia and Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria and even in Turkey. The web portal MMM wrote that he also got the request from the Cypriot broadcaster CyBC to represent the island next year at the contest, but it seems he chose for FYR Macedonia…
