UPD Lena signs five year contract with German broadcaster

Lena Meyer-Landrut, winner of the Eurovision Song Contest 2010 and German representative in D�¼sseldorf, has signed a five year contract with German broadcaster NDR. Therefore, she is set to represent Germany in the upcoming five editions of the competition.

Stefan Raab will stay involved with the project. Roles he might take over next five years include songwriter, producer, head of delegation, mentor, backing singer, jury president and press officer. Furthermore, it has been announced that one of next five contests may feature a duet with another German singer that is yet to be revealed. In case Lena wins the Eurovision Song Contest 2016, she will be directly qualified for another contest in 2017 in order to defend her title.

Lena won the Eurovision Song Contest 2010 in Oslo with Satellite. In 2011, she was chosen internally to represent again and the song Taken by a stranger was selected in the national final.
