Tonight: Moldova selects for Eurovision

The Moldovan selection better known as O melodie pentru Europa will pick the entry to represent Moldova in the next Eurovision Song Contest. 25 acts will compete in tonight's show aired from the capital Chisinau.

The show

The national final will be broadcast live on the national TV station TRM at 18:40 CET. 25 songs will compete for the ticket to Dusseldorf. The line-up includes the first ever Moldovan representatives Zdob si Zdub (2005) and Natalia Barbu (2007). A mixture of a professional jury and public vote will select the seventh Moldovan entrant in the Eurovision Song Contest.

Since its debut Moldova only missed the final in 2008. This year the country will compete in the second semi-final on 12th May.
