TRM, the Moldovan national broadcaster, has confirmed that Moldova will partake at the forthcoming 2019 Eurovision Song Contest in Israel.

Good evening Europe, this is Chisinau calling! The Moldovans are coming to Israel for Eurovision 2019. Thus Moldova joins the list of countries who have confirmed their participation at the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest in Tel Aviv.

Moldova will more than likely opt for its traditional national selection O Melodi Pentru Europa in order to select its 2019 Eurovision entry and act, as has been the case in recent years.

Moldova in Eurovision

Moldova debuted at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2005 with Zdob si Zdub and is yet to win the event. The country achieved its best result in the competition in 2017 when Sunstroke Project placed 3rd in the Grand Final in Kyiv with their entry Hey Mamma!

Moldova has been competing in religiously every year in Europe’s favourite television show since their debut, namely the country has partaken in the contest 14 times.

In 2018 DoReDos were crowned the winners of the Moldovan national final and flew to Lisbon with their entry My lucky day. The trio placed 10th in the Grand Final in Lisbon.
