Latvia: Triana Parks withdraws from the final

The Latvian national broadcaster (LTV) have announced that Triana Parks, one of the acts qualified in their national final, were forced to withdraw due to some health problems of the lead singer of the band. Eleven acts will fight for the Latvian ticket to Düsseldorf on February 26th.

One of the twelve finalists of the Latvian national selection, Triana Parks, were forced to withdraw from the competition as the lead singer of the band is facing with health problems. The band was supposed to perform their entry entitled Upside down and were drawn at spot number 4 in Latvia's national final for the Eurovision Song Contest 2011.

Eleven acts will fight for the Latvian ticket to Düsseldorf:

  3. Ivo Grisnins – Grislis – Cinderella
  4. The Secretz – Summer night
  5. Pienenu vins – You are
  6. Janis Stibelis – Let it be me
  7. Oksana Lepska – Live on!
  8. Marats&Emils – Angel in disguise
  9. Blitze – Hop
  10. D-Family – Daylight
  11. Lauris Reiniks – Banjo Laura

Latvia will pick up its Eurovision hopeful on February 26th. Their national final will take place in Ventspils and it will be aired live by LTV. The winner will perform in the second semi final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2011.
