RTVE, the Spanish national has just informed esctoday, that it will be holding a special press conference on Tuesday the 22nd of February to officially present Lucia Perez as the 2011 Spanish Eurovision representative. The Galician singer will get a chance to meet and greet the Spanish press and media who have been invited to attend. TVE will also reveal more details concerning their plans for Eurovision 2011.
Lucia Perez was elected last Friday as the Spanish 2011 Eurovision representative by the Spanish tv viewers. Lucia will represent Spain with the song Que me quiten lo Bailao at the forthcoming Eurovision Song Contest in Dusseldorf next May. Tomorrow TVE will officially present their candidate and song to the Spanish media and press. The press coference will be held at 12pm at the RTVE studios in Torrespana, Madrid. Lola Molina the head of TVE Entertainment Programmes Contents Dept. will also be present during the press conference.
Spain debuted at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1961 and has won the contest twice in 1968 and in1969. Spain has religiously competed in every single Eurovision edition since their debut in 1961. Spain will be competing at the Eurovision Song Contest 2011 final on the 14th of May as its one of the BIG 5 countries along with Italy, United Kingdom, France and Germany.
