Norway sends Stella Mwangi to Eurovision 2011

Norway has just decided – Stella Mwangi will represent the Nordic country in the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest. A total of eight acts competed tonight for that honour in the final of Melodi Grand Prix.

Stella Mwangi has become the clear winner of this year's Melodi Grand Prix, having received top marks from the audience, two of the juries and the Norwegian public.

These are the overall results of the final of Melodi Grand Prix 2011:

  • The BlackSheeps – Dance tonight: 155,059
  • The Lucky Bullets – Fire below: 115,793
  • Sie Gubba – Alt du vil ha: 94,884

Stella Mwangi has been the runaway winner in our poll as well. She has picked up 38.4% of the vote, ahead of Helena Boksle and Aste & Rikke.
