Denmark’s Emmelie de Forest has presented the video for her latest single Rabbit.
Rabbit is taken from the mini-album History by Danish Eurovision 2013 winner Emmelie de Forest. History is a collection of very personal songs and Rabbit is no exception: the song tells how the singer wishes to escape from the everyday rat race, as she would rather walk her rabbit.
The video is somewhat surreal, with a distinct Alice in Wonderland vibe that mirrors Rabbit‘s lyrics, which include:
Go into the looking glass
Run, and then I forget the names
Jump, with not a care in the world
When I walk my rabbit
I believe in love and magic

The music video for Rabbit was made by students of Erhvervsakademi Sjælland Køge or the Zealand Institute of Business and Technology in Køge. Emmelie de Forest explains:
This is a video I shot with some really talented students, for their artist project back in February. As part of their education at Erhvervsakademi Sjælland Køge, they had to do a musicvideo for an artist, as well as designing ideas for a logo and website. Had so much fun doing this project and shooting this video for Rabbit, one of the songs from my History mini-album, that was released earlier this year. I did another video with another group of students, that I will post soon…
The video was created by Toke Vagn-Ahlgren, Josephine Stabell Monby, Henna Qureshi, Laura Bødker and Nicolai Kilhof Hansen. Enjoy Rabbit!
Emmelie de Forest (Randers, Denmark, 1993) is a Danish singer-songwriter. She won the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest in Malmö, Sweden, with the song Only teardrops, receiving 281 points in the Grand Final.
