Spain: Sergio Dalma special guest at Spanish semifinal

RTVE has informed esctoday.com that Sergio Dalma, the 1991 Spanish Eurovision representative, will be a guest at tomorrow's Spanish Eurovision 2011 national selection semifinal. Pastora Soler and David Ascanio will also be performing tomorrow. The 3rd Spanish Eurovision heat, the semifinal, will take place in Sant Cugat, Barcelona and will be aired live on TVE1 and TVE International Europe at 22:15 CET.

Two weeks back we had Soraya, the 2009 SpanishEurovision representative, giving a guest performance at Destino Eurovisión Gala 1. Whilst last week David Civera, the 2001 Eurovision representative made a special guest appearance at last week's Destino Eurovision Gala 2. This week TVE will be treating its viewers with the performances of Sergio Dalma, Pastora Soler and David Ascanio, all of whom enjoy fame and glory on home soil.

Sergio Dalmarepresented Spain at the Eurovision Song Contest back in 1991 in Rome with the song Bailar pegados, which has become into one of the most famous songs in Spain ever. Though he didn't win the competition, he came 4th thus losing out to Carola's Fångad av er stormvind, his song was recorded in Italian and French. Sergio has come a long way since his Eurovision days.He was already well known in Spain and South America before his Eurovision debut in 1991,having achievedmassive hits with songs like Esachica esmia.Sergio's career has gone a long way since his Eurovision days.

Sergio has released many hit albums since his Eurovision debut.

Today he is among Spain's most sought after and well known singers. Sergio's latest album has been recorded in Milan, Italy, and produced by Claudio Guidetti, who has worked with well known Italian singer Umberto Tozzi( Italy 1987), Laura Pausini and Eros Ramazzotti. Sergio has always had a special link to Italy since he was young. His latest album Via Dalma which has gone gold in Spain, isa compilation of all time Italian hit songs, sung in Spanish.
